Detailed Itinerary

Hour by hour, your adventure to Humantay Lagoon

Early departure from your hotel in Cusco to the picturesque town of Mollepata (2,803 m). During the approximately 2-hour journey, you will enjoy panoramic views of the Andes. Short stop to stretch your legs and prepare for the day.

Arrival at Mollepata, where you will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast to recharge your energy. Fresh local food, coffee, tea, and freshly baked bread. This is the perfect time to prepare your backpack.

We continue for one hour to the community of Soraypampa (3,800 m), the starting point of the trekking. Brief briefing by the guide, restroom use, and preparation of trekking poles (included).

1.5-hour hike (1.8 km) of low to moderate difficulty. The trail offers spectacular views of the Salkantay snow-capped mountain. During the ascent, the guide will share Andean stories and myths. Optional: rental horses available locally.

Arrival at the impressive Humantay Lagoon (4,200 m). Free time to take photos, meditate, or simply marvel at the turquoise water and the imposing snow-capped mountain. The guide will provide an explanation of the sacred importance of this place.

1.5-hour descent (much easier than the ascent). Enjoy the landscapes from another perspective. Arrival at Soraypampa and boarding of transport.

Delicious traditional buffet lunch at a local restaurant in Mollepata. Soups, main courses, fresh vegetables, and desserts. Includes hot beverages.

Return journey approximately 2 hours. Arrival in Cusco around 5:00 PM, dropping you off at your hotel. End of an unforgettable experience!
